[The Financial News] A man in his 40s who assaulted a post office postal worker after claiming he had been cut off while driving has been sent to prosecutors in custody.
According to police on the 29th, Seoul Gangseo Police Station arrested and referred to prosecutors a man in his 40s identified as A on the 24th on charges of obstructing the performance of official duties and special obstruction of official duties.
A is accused of assaulting B, a postal worker on duty, at around 2 p.m. on the 21st at Ujangsan Station Intersection in Naebalsan-dong, Gangseo District, Seoul.
At the time, A pulled B off his motorcycle while B was waiting at a traffic light, knocked him to the ground, and then fought with him. During police questioning, he reportedly said, "I was angry because B cut in front of me."
A is also accused of hitting a police officer who had been dispatched to the scene with his car and fleeing about 2 km.
