[The Financial News] Iran's state-run IRIB reported on the 24th that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is touring Pakistan, Oman and Russia, will not hold a face-to-face meeting with the U.S. during this trip.
IRIB flatly dismissed speculation about various talks, saying, "Contrary to some speculation, no meeting with the United States is scheduled during this trip."
The broadcaster added, "Instead, Pakistan will serve as a bridge to convey Iran's considerations regarding an end to the conflict," and said this "builds on discussions held last week when Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan Asim Munir visited Tehran."
IRIB reporter Hasnieh Sadat Shabiri said the visit to Russia, the final stop on the trip, clearly shows Iran's diplomatic priorities. She added that it sends a firm message at home and abroad that Iran is putting ties with strategic partners first in order to achieve lasting peace.
