[Financial News] Despite HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk's legal risk, the scheduled activities of rookie Latin band Low Clika will proceed as planned.
According to HYBE on the 22nd, HYBE Latin America will release "Low Clika: La Serie," a project that combines music and storytelling, one episode at a time starting on the 23rd, for a total of four episodes.
Low Clika, a name still unfamiliar in Korea, is a localized project group created by HYBE to target the Latin market. The band gained major popularity on the audition program "Pase a la Fama" and made its debut in November last year. It is known for a distinctive sound that blends traditional Mexican folk music with trap, urban, and pop elements.
The group will return with a new album in the second half of this year. Ahead of the comeback, it will unveil the short drama format "Low Clika: La Serie." The content will be released on the global superfans platform Weverse, as well as YouTube and TikTok.
The drama follows the members as they face crises amid betrayal, conspiracy, and other events, then overcome them and grow. As each episode unfolds over about a month, a new song tied to it will be revealed in sequence.
This approach adds a narrative layer to the artists' music. It is an effort to apply the K-pop model to the local market, deepening immersion in the music and offering fans a new experience.
Myrna Pérez, general manager of SIENTO Records, HYBE Latin America's label, said, "Building a worldview in which music-centered content and storytelling are organically connected is one of the core philosophies of HYBE and Chairman Bang Si-hyuk." She added, "Through this project, fans will go beyond simply listening to music and experience the artist's story together."
