President Lee Leaves New Delhi for Hanoi, Begins Vietnam Schedule

At around 12:31 p.m. that day, Lee arrived at Palam Air Force Station in New Delhi with First Lady Kim Hye-kyung and boarded Code One. Lee wore a dark gray suit with a light blue tie, while Kim was dressed in a light purple two-piece outfit.
On the Indian side, Jitin Prasada, minister of state for commerce and industry, protocol chief Amit Kumar, Ambassador Gourangalal Das, and Sujit Ghosh, director for East Asia at the foreign ministry, lined up at the foot of the aircraft stairs to see the presidential couple off. On the Korean side, Ambassador Lee Seong-ho, Mrs. Park Hee-sook, and military attaché Han Jonghun were present.
The Indian side prepared a photo album featuring images taken during the official welcome ceremony, and Lee posed for a commemorative photo while holding it. He then shook hands with the attendees one by one. Lee and his wife later climbed the stairs, waved from the doorway, and joined their hands in a final farewell.
After arriving in Hanoi, Lee is scheduled on the 22nd to meet with members of the Korean community, lay a wreath at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, hold a summit with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of Vietnam, attend an exchange ceremony for memorandums of understanding, deliver a joint press statement, and attend a state dinner.
On the 23rd, he will meet separately with the prime minister and the speaker of the National Assembly, and also attend the Korea-Vietnam Business Forum. On the final day, the 24th, he will conclude his schedule with a friendship event at the Central Sector of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - Hanoi before departing for home.
