[The Financial News] The brother of a famous girl group member, who was arrested on suspicion of molesting a female internet broadcaster, is now facing possible detention.
According to police on the 17th, Seoul Gangnam Police Station filed a detention warrant for A, who is under investigation on charges of indecent assault.
A was arrested in the act on the evening of the 14th after drinking with the victim at a restaurant in Gangnam District and then taking her to his home, where he allegedly attempted inappropriate physical contact.
He is also reported to have purchased a 'meal date' from the victim two days before the incident.
Separately, the victim filed a complaint with police against an unidentified person on charges including threats involving filmed material under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, saying she received a KakaoTalk message threatening to release her private photos online.
Police are now tracking down the person who sent the threatening message to the victim.
