"Beat Porsche"... Genesis Named Best Car Brand by Germany's Auto Bild

Genesis said on the 17th that it was recently chosen as the "Best Car Brand" in a reader survey by Auto Bild, a major automotive publication in Germany.
Auto Bild, which enjoys high trust in Germany, the home of the automotive industry, plays an important role in shaping European consumers’ car-buying decisions. This year, more than 50,000 readers took part instead of a panel of expert judges, marking the highest participation ever.
In this year’s survey, 52 car brands were evaluated across 14 detailed categories, with a focus on three key criteria: quality, design and price competitiveness. Genesis outperformed Porsche and other European premium brands to capture both the top overall honor of "Best Car Brand" and the title of "Best Luxury Car Brand." In the luxury category in particular, Genesis received the highest score for price competitiveness.
Genesis was also praised as a brand whose win had been widely expected, thanks to its outstanding quality and safety, refined design, convenient features and strong price competitiveness.
Lee Si-hyuk, executive vice president and head of the Genesis Business Division, said, "Being named the best car brand this time is the result of Genesis steadily building its presence in Europe with a strategy focused less on short-term sales and more on setting a benchmark for the brand." He added, "We will continue to strengthen our fundamentals based on sophisticated design, advanced technology and a differentiated retail experience."
Genesis first entered the European market in 2021, using Germany, the UK and Switzerland as its initial bases. Since then, it has expanded its operations to France, Italy and the Netherlands, and is planning to enter Spain within this year.
