[Financial News] The global Web3 event Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) is returning as "KBW2026 with Upbit" in partnership with the digital asset exchange Upbit. Through this collaboration, the two sides plan to establish KBW as a platform that attracts global institutions and capital.
Web3 ecosystem builder FACTBLOCK and Upbit announced on the 15th that KBW2026 with Upbit will be held over three days from September 29 to October 1 at Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts Seoul.
KBW2026 with Upbit will open on September 29 with the "Upbit Institutional Summit" on its first day, co-hosted by FACTBLOCK. This private, invitation-only session will bring together key players from global capital markets and policymakers and regulators from Korea and abroad. They will explore how traditional finance and the Web3 ecosystem can converge and where the industry is headed as digital assets move into the regulated mainstream.
The main conference of KBW2026 with Upbit will run from September 30 to October 1. Global industry leaders, innovators, investors, and communities will gather in one place to discuss the future of the Web3 industry.
Now in its ninth year, KBW is a leading blockchain event in Asia, founded and organized annually since 2018 by FACTBLOCK. Last year’s main conference drew a cumulative 28,000 attendees, 35% of whom were from overseas, and more than 5,200 companies from around the world took part. Over 110 exhibition booths were set up, an increase of more than 80% from the previous year, and more than 400 side events were held across Seoul.
Meanwhile, the main conference title "KBW: IMPACT," used until last year, will be unified under "KBW" starting this year. The strategy is to strengthen KBW’s identity as a standalone brand, similar to major events whose acronyms themselves have become global brands, such as Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and Mobile World Congress (MWC).
FACTBLOCK CEO Park Wi-ik said, "KBW has grown into a brand recognized in the global market," adding, "Through our collaboration with Upbit, we will take KBW to the next level as a platform that connects institution-driven discussions and global capital flows."
Dunamu CEO Kyungseok Oh stated, "We hope KBW2026 with Upbit will bring together global institutions and industry leaders for meaningful discussions," and added, "Upbit will continue to play a role in strengthening Korea’s connection with the global digital asset market."
