[Financial News] On the 14th, President Lee Jae Myung stated, "Some people think that because they can play a bit of omok, they can kibitz in a master-level match. Giving advice is fine, but you must not flip the board over."
That day, President Lee wrote on X (social network, formerly Twitter), "So fixated on family feuds that you look ready to side with Martians invading Earth. Shouldn’t we save Earth first?"
In political circles, his remarks were interpreted as taking into account the continued attacks from the opposition bloc over his recent sharing on X of a video showing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) dropping the body of a Palestinian.
Earlier, on the 12th, President Lee also wrote on X, "Those who damage the national interest for private gain are called traitors," and criticized, "There are many who, even while committing acts of betrayal, do not realize that harming the national interest for selfish reasons is wrong. Or perhaps they know and do it anyway."
He went on, "The sovereignty of each nation and universal human rights must be respected, and wars of aggression must be rejected. That is the spirit of our Constitution and a matter of international common sense," emphasizing, "The ability to put oneself in another’s shoes applies not only to individuals but also to relations between states."
