According to The Financial News, BTS met 130,000 fans at their shows in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
Big Hit Music announced on the 13th that BTS successfully wrapped up the opening dates of "BTS World Tour Arirang" at Goyang Stadium on the 9th and 11–12th. Over three shows, about 132,000 fans gathered. The venue featured a 360-degree open stage in the center, and roughly 44,000 spectators filled the seats for each performance.
The concerts were simultaneously broadcast as live viewing in movie theaters across major countries and regions around the world. In addition, online streaming via global superfan platform Weverse allowed audiences in 194 countries and regions to join in.
The members offered a variety of fan-service moments for ARMY, the official fandom of BTS, who had waited for them for a long time. They also expressed heartfelt words of thanks.
During the "Run BTS" stage, member Jung Kook grabbed a flying drone camera with his hand and swept across the stage from a first-person perspective, conveying the vivid excitement of the scene to online viewers. After the opening, the members said, "For the first time in about four years, we have released an album called 'Arirang' and are going on tour. We can hear ARMY's voices so clearly today," announcing the start of the show with emotion in their voices.
Near the end of the concert, they told the crowd, "Thank you sincerely for your support. Under the name 'BTS 2.0' we are showing many changes, but the most important things have not changed. The seven of us decided to do this together, and our sincerity toward all of you. We will never take the hearts that fill this space lightly, not even for a moment, and we will always move forward with humility, so please trust us and watch over us generously." They then gave a deep bow and added, "We still have many stages to show you. We will be artists who repay you with diverse and amazing performances."
Meanwhile, BTS will continue the tour with 85 shows in 34 cities, including Tokyo on April 17–18, as well as cities across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia.
