[Financial News] U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that "Iran has not completely left the negotiating table yet and will eventually return to talks and accept the conditions the United States wants."

Trump made the remarks in a phone interview with Fox News on the 12th (local time).
A day earlier, the United States and Iran held more than 15 hours of overnight talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, in an effort to reach an end-of-conflict agreement, but the negotiations broke down without a deal.

However, Trump assessed the atmosphere of the talks as "very friendly toward the end" and stressed that the negotiations had not completely collapsed.
Before the Fox News interview, Trump wrote on his Truth Social social networking service (SNS) account that "we agreed on most issues, but one important matter, the nuclear issue, was not resolved."

He went on to say, "The U.S. Navy will move to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, and it may take some time before this is implemented," adding, "It will not take long to clear the strait."
