President Donald Trump issued a warning to the People's Republic of China (China) on the 11th (local time).
He was responding to a Cable News Network (CNN) report that China is expected to supply a new air defense system to the Islamic Republic of Iran within the next few weeks.
According to National Broadcasting Company (NBC), when asked whether China is preparing to supply weapons to Iran, Trump warned reporters, "If China does that, China will face serious problems."
Earlier, CNN reported, citing three sources, that U.S. intelligence agencies have learned China intends to provide a new air defense system to Iran within weeks.
Meanwhile, Trump is scheduled to visit China early next month for a summit with Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China.
