US President Donald Trump said on the 11th (local time) that it does not matter whether negotiations to end the conflict with the Islamic Republic of Iran are concluded.
According to Cable News Network (CNN), Trump told reporters that, for him, it makes no difference whether a deal is reached with the Islamic Republic of Iran. His remarks came as the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran were engaged in marathon talks past midnight in Islamabad, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
As he was leaving the White House, Trump said, "Whatever happens, we have won," adding, "Whether there is a deal or not, it makes no difference to me."
Trump stated, "We have completely defeated that country," and continued, "So now let's see what happens."
He went on, "Maybe they will make a deal, and maybe they will not, but it does not matter," declaring, "From the United States' point of view, we have won."
