Negotiating teams from the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran restarted their talks after midnight.
Cable News Network (CNN) reported on the 11th local time, citing the state-run Tasnim News Agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, that the ceasefire talks in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, had resumed.
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is mediating the negotiations.
Tasnim News Agency, however, noted that major obstacles remain and criticized the United States for making "excessive demands." According to Iranian media, Washington is pressing for conditions that are hard to accept in several areas, including issues related to the Strait of Hormuz.
Tasnim News Agency reported, "Given the United States' excessive demands, this round of talks appears to be the last chance to reach a common framework."
