On the 11th (local time), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the military operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran "is not over yet." His remarks came as the US and the Islamic Republic of Iran opened cease-fire negotiations that day in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
According to Cable News Network (CNN), Netanyahu said in a televised address in Hebrew that evening, "The operation is not over yet." He added, however, "One thing I can say for certain is that we have achieved a historic accomplishment," leaving his comments open-ended.
In the 13-minute speech, Netanyahu claimed that the operation had eliminated key figures in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s leadership and destroyed its nuclear and missile capabilities, describing these as major achievements. He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium would be removed, whether through an agreement or by "other means."
He argued, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is begging for a cease-fire," and asserted, "The Iranian regime of terror has been severely weakened, and it is now fighting for its own survival."
Meanwhile, Israel carried out airstrikes on Lebanon the same day.
