According to The Financial News, Song Da-ye, ex-wife of Click-B member Kim Sang-hyuk, expressed discomfort over being repeatedly mentioned on television shows.
On the 9th, through her social media, Song Da-ye wrote, "My ex-husband is a celebrity. Every time he appears on a show, he talks about our divorce, unwanted articles come out, and I end up going through this situation every few years."
She continued, "Even if he doesn’t bring it up himself, the host will, or the topic comes up in some way. Even if he didn’t mention me directly, couldn’t he at least ask them to edit it out if the other party is uncomfortable?" She added, "From the perspective of someone who has moved on and is living well, it’s extremely distressing to think back to that time."
Earlier, in a teaser video released on the 7th for an appearance on the YouTube channel "Manrijangseongyu," host Jang Sung-kyu mentioned Kim Sang-hyuk’s ex-wife, which sparked controversy. The video has since been deleted.
Kim Sang-hyuk married shopping mall CEO Song Da-ye, who is six years younger than him, in 2019, but the couple divorced after just one year.
This is not the first time such an issue has arisen. Actor Koo Hye-sun has also publicly voiced discomfort over a similar situation.
Koo Hye-sun and Ahn Jae-hyun divorced in 2019 and have since gone their separate ways. However, Ahn Jae-hyun has indirectly referred to the divorce through variety shows and YouTube content.
On KBS 2TV’s "Giving Affection, Receiving Affection, Lee Min-jung" at the time, Ahn Jae-hyun remarked, "Being alone is so lonely," to which Lee Min-jung responded by saying she hoped he would meet someone good, effectively cheering on his future dating life.
In addition, on YouTube channels such as "Hyungsoo is K.Will" and "Jo Hyun Ah's Ordinary Thursday Night," his divorce was indirectly brought up through people around him, keeping the topic in the spotlight.
In May last year, Koo Hye-sun publicly raised the issue on her personal account, writing, "Even though the divorce process with my ex-spouse was very unpleasant, the continuous and indirect references and remarks that allow people to infer me, the person directly involved and working in the same industry, are cowardly."
She went on to say, "I hope those who produce all kinds of provocative gossip programs will realize that asking leading questions about this matter or offering on-air consolation constitutes a secondary form of harm to the ex-spouse directly involved and inflicts a deep wound."
