Public Home Shopping announced on the 10th that it will hold a series of sales support events for small and medium-sized businesses in conjunction with the "Donghaeng Festival" organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, including special exhibitions to support companies hit by high oil prices and to help stabilize consumer prices.
The Donghaeng Festival, launched in 2020, is the largest domestic event aimed at supporting sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners. This year, it will run from April 11 to May 10.
In particular, this year's program includes special exhibitions to support companies suffering from high oil prices, as part of efforts to counter the economic slowdown caused by rising tensions in the Middle East.
For companies struggling with higher packaging costs and unstable supplies of raw materials, Public Home Shopping will cut sales commissions by 3 percentage points. It will also host special events such as the "Shopping Basket Rescue Operation" for price stabilization and a dedicated exhibition for small business owners, supporting sales channels for around 1,000 SMEs and small merchants.
The Gongyoung Live Commerce Channel, Public Home Shopping's mobile live commerce platform, plans to feature fully ripened glutinous tomatoes grown at a smart farm in Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province, and handmade choco pies, a specialty of Jeonju, during a two-hour broadcast starting at 4 p.m. on the 11th.
During the Donghaeng Festival, every customer who purchases broadcast products at least twice and spends a total of 100,000 won or more will receive 5,000 won in reward points. On mobile, 10% discount coupons will be issued every weekend.
On the 14th and 15th of this month, popular products from Public Home Shopping will be sold at discounted prices at Haengbokhan Department Store Mokdong. A "Donghaeng Festival Bazaar" will also be held, with all proceeds donated to charity.
