TVING original series 'The Legend of Kitchen Soldier' has unveiled photos from its script reading session.

[The Financial News] Park Ji-hoon, who became the star of 10-million-viewer film 'The King's Warden' with his very first movie, is returning as an army cook on May 11.
On the 10th, 'The Legend of Kitchen Soldier,' a TVING original, released a behind-the-scenes look at its script reading.
'The Legend of Kitchen Soldier' (written by Choi Ryong, directed by Cho Nam-hyung, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Studio Dragon and Studio N) is a military cooking fantasy drama. It follows Private Kang Sung-jae, who trades his rifle for a chef's knife and his ammo belt for an apron, as he transforms into a 'legendary army cook.'
Based on the popular WEBTOON of the same name, the series stars Park Ji-hoon as Kang Sung-jae, alongside Yoon Kyung-ho as Park Jae-young, Han Dong-hee as Cho Ye-rin, and Lee Hong-nae as Yoon Dong-hyun. Lee Sang-yi also joins the cast in a special appearance as Hwang Seok-ho.
The script reading turned into a striking scene, with the cast members showing up in military uniforms. Because the session was held on June 25, they also observed a moment of silence to honor the fallen patriots and those who died defending the nation.
During the introduction segment, writer Choi Ryong shared his emotions, saying, "When I went to the army as a cook, I never imagined a day like this would come. Being entrusted with 'The Legend of Kitchen Soldier' and standing here now feels especially meaningful."
The series will premiere on Monday, May 11, at 8:50 p.m. on TVING and tvN.
