According to Financial News, BTS has added dates to their South American tour, and will now meet fans around the world with 85 shows in 34 cities.
Big Hit Music announced on the 8th that BTS will add one additional concert each in Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina during their South American tour scheduled for October.
They will be the first Korean act to perform at Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia, and Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They will also set a record as the first Korean artist to hold a solo concert at Estadio Nacional de Chile in Santiago.
Local music fans’ anticipation is rising. In Peru in particular, ahead of the concerts, fans have voluntarily joined the “Plant One Million Trees” campaign at the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and carried out various activities such as cleaning public spaces to welcome BTS.
Entering the second chapter of their career, BTS are leaving a significant mark on the live music scene as a leading K-pop group. According to global concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment, BTS sold about 2.4 million tickets with just 41 shows in North America and Europe. They will also become the first Korean act to headline solo concerts at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Stanford Stadium, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, and AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Meanwhile, the “BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'” will kick off on the 9th at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province.
