Lee Jin-sook hints at independent run for Daegu mayor: "I will seek to be chosen through a citizen primary"

Posting on her Facebook page the same day, Lee said, "I will devote myself to leading the way in saving Daegu and saving the Republic of Korea, in line with the will of Daegu citizens."
Regarding the committee’s decision, she criticized it as "a self-destructive decision that will lead to defeat in the June 3 local elections," adding, "A party leader who does not follow the will of party members and the public is not a party leader."
She went on to say, "Jang Dong-hyeok criticized political interference by the Judiciary of South Korea, yet by fully accepting the judiciary’s ruling on Representative Joo Ho-young’s injunction request, he has effectively made Presiding Judge Kwon Sung-soo the real leader of the People Power Party."
