Former Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba to Visit South Korea on 7–8; Meeting with President Lee Being Arranged

According to The Financial News, President Lee Jae-myung of South Korea is reportedly coordinating a schedule for a meeting with former Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, who will visit South Korea on the 7th and 8th.
A senior official at Cheong Wa Dae, also known as the Blue House, said on the 3rd regarding the possibility of a meeting between President Lee and former Prime Minister Ishiba next week that they are "currently working to coordinate a feasible schedule."
Shigeru Ishiba is expected to meet President Lee on the occasion of his visit to Seoul to attend Asan Plenum 2026, the annual forum hosted by The Asan Institute for Policy Studies, which will be held at Grand Hyatt Seoul on the 8th.
