TikTok has decided to invest more than 50 million dollars (about 75 billion won) in the Korean content ecosystem this year. This is among the largest levels globally, and it is the first time TikTok has disclosed a specific investment amount for the Korean market.
Jung Jae-hoon, Head of Operations at TikTok Korea, announced the plan on the morning of the 2nd at the TikTok K-Impact Summit 2026 held at Hotel Eliena in the Gangnam District in Seoul. He said, "We will further empower Korean content that is leading global trends, focusing on two pillars: expanding creator rewards and support, and building professional content partnerships."
Starting on the 1st of this month, TikTok launched the Creator Reward Program: 2X, which doubles creator rewards for Korean-language content compared with the previous scheme. This is one of the highest-level creator reward programs offered by TikTok worldwide. From the 1st of next month, the company will also roll out a Special Reward Program that can pay up to three times more based on content quality, a Creator Growth Challenge to help creators active on other platforms move onto TikTok, and a Creator Incubator Program aimed at nurturing emerging creators into large-scale creators with more than one million followers. TikTok will also strengthen collaboration with professional content partners.
