According to Financial News, Hybe has moved to strengthen its competitiveness in overseas business by adding key figures from the global platform and media sectors to its board. Isaac Lee, chair of HYBE America, joins Hybe’s board as an inside director

On April 1, Hybe announced that at its regular general shareholders’ meeting, Isaac Lee, chair and CEO of HYBE America, was appointed as an inside director, while Kevin Mayer, former senior vice president of The Walt Disney Company, was named an outside director.
As an inside director, Isaac Lee currently serves as chair and CEO of HYBE America and oversees Hybe’s overall business in the United States and Latin America. His appointment to the board is intended to unify the decision-making structure between headquarters and overseas hubs and to maximize execution capabilities in the North American and Latin American markets. Focusing on regional hubs, Lee plans to advance Hybe’s “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy of securing a wide range of genres and artists, thereby strengthening the company’s global business competitiveness.
Kevin Mayer, a seasoned strategist in global media

Outside director Kevin Mayer is regarded as a seasoned strategist in the global media industry. At The Walt Disney Company, he served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer, where he led the launch of Disney+. He also served as CEO of TikTok and co-founded Candle Media, building a distinctive network in the platform and content investment fields. Drawing on this experience, Mayer is expected to help Hybe further develop its global platform business capabilities and provide expert insight on investments and strategic partnerships.
A Hybe representative said, "The addition of Director Isaac Lee, who will drive close cooperation between headquarters and overseas hubs, and Director Kevin Mayer, who will manage strategic risks with his broad insight into the global platform business, will greatly contribute to Hybe achieving sustainable growth in the global market."
