According to Financial News, Samsung Electronics announced on the 1st that it has released the Samsung Galaxy Book 6, a notebook with enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Book 6 comes in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch.
Prices range from 1.6 million won to 2.51 million won, depending on detailed specifications such as the central processing unit (CPU), graphics card, and memory. The notebook is available in two colors: gray and silver.
The new model can be purchased at offline stores including Samsung Store locations nationwide, as well as online through Samsung.com and major open-market platforms.
The Samsung Galaxy Book 6 is equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, Intel’s latest processor lineup.
It features a high-performance neural processing unit (NPU) capable of up to 49 trillion operations per second (49 TOPS), delivering a significant boost in AI computing speed compared with the previous model. This allows Galaxy AI-based tasks such as image editing and real-time translation to run more stably.
Battery performance has also been improved. With efficient power management, the device supports up to 24 hours of video playback on a full charge.
Like the previously released Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro models, the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 features a design that emphasizes symmetry and balance.
It measures 14.9 mm thick and weighs 1.43 kg.
The notebook offers a wide range of ports, including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, a microSD card slot, and a wired LAN port. Users can conveniently connect multiple peripherals without a separate adapter.
Users can also access Galaxy AI features such as "AI Cutout," which easily removes image backgrounds, and "Real-Time Translation," which instantly converts selected text into another language. They can use natural language to search for files, images, and other data stored on the PC or to change PC settings.
In addition to the existing Galaxy Book6 Ultra model equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX discrete graphics card, Samsung Electronics is also introducing a new version that uses Intel integrated graphics.
The new model comes in a single configuration with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor series, 32 gigabytes (GB) of memory, and 1 terabyte (TB) of storage, and is priced at 3.69 million won.
Hojin Jung, vice president at the Samsung Electronics Korea Office, said, "The Samsung Galaxy Book 6 offers flagship-level performance and Galaxy AI capabilities while remaining competitively priced," adding, "We hope consumers will enjoy a wide range of AI experiences in their daily lives with the Galaxy Book 6."
