Domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) importers SK Gas and E1 have raised their LPG supply prices for April.
According to industry sources on the 1st, SK Gas and E1 decided to increase domestic LPG prices by 50 won per kilogram for propane and 29.2 won per liter (50 won per kilogram) for butane.
E1 set its April residential and commercial propane price at 1,263.17 won per kilogram, up 50 won from the previous month, and its industrial propane price at 1,269.77 won. The butane price was also raised by 29.2 won from a month earlier to 946.40 won per liter.
SK Gas likewise increased its propane price by 50 won from the previous month to 1,265.73 won per kilogram, and said it set its butane price at 947.57 won per liter, up 29.2 won.
An industry official said, "There had been significant upward pressure on prices due to higher international LPG prices and a weaker won, but we reflected only part of those factors in response to the government’s price stabilization policy and in consideration of easing the burden on consumers."
