Authorities officially release identity of drug trafficker Park Wang-yeol, including mugshot

[The Financial News] The identity of Park Wang-yeol, who was temporarily extradited to South Korea on charges of distributing drugs in the country, has been made public.
On the 27th, police announced that, after a review by the Personal Information Disclosure Review Committee, they decided to release the name, age, and mugshot of suspect Park Wang-yeol, 47.

\r\nThe Gyeonggi Bukbu Provincial Police Agency posted the relevant information on its official website after confirming that an arrest warrant for Park Wang-yeol had been issued.

\r\nPreviously, Park Wang-yeol had been serving time in the Philippines for murdering three Koreans there, when he was additionally accused of distributing a large quantity of drugs in South Korea and was repatriated on the 25th. While imprisoned locally, he also sparked controversy for allegedly enjoying VIP-style treatment behind bars.

\r\nThe disclosed personal information will remain available for one month, until the 27th of next month.
