According to Financial News, G-Dragon's walnut pastries drew an explosive response as soon as sales began. The product, launched as part of the "Love & Peace Series" project jointly presented by Buchang Confectionery and the public-interest JusPeace Foundation, reportedly generated early-morning queues and long lines of customers on the first day.
On the 26th, Shinsegae Department Store announced that it will showcase the "Love & Peace Series," a collaboration between traditional confectionery brand Buchang Confectionery and the JusPeace Foundation, where artist G-Dragon (GD) serves as honorary director, through April 5. The series is available exclusively at Shinsegae Department Store.
At the pop-up held that day at Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch, crowds gathered immediately after opening, creating a continuous line of waiting customers. Visitors hoping to purchase the products formed a long queue in front of the store.
The popularity of the Daisy Bomb walnut pastries, widely dubbed "G-Dragon walnut pastries," had been anticipated even before sales began. On secondhand trading platforms and social networking services (SNS), posts such as "I will stand in line and buy G-Dragon walnut pastries for you" and "Looking for someone to line up at opening and purchase on my behalf" poured in.

The Daisy Bomb walnut pastries first drew attention last month when G-Dragon handed them out free of charge to fans who had been waiting outdoors for long hours at his debut solo fan meeting.
After that, Buchang Confectionery, operated by Food and Beverage (F&B) company FG, teamed up with the JusPeace Foundation to roll out the product as part of the "LOVE & PEACE" project. Going beyond a simple collaboration, they announced that a portion of the sales proceeds would be donated through the JusPeace Foundation, which further fueled consumer interest.
The product also stood out because it reimagines "walnut pastries," a classic K-dessert and staple snack at highway rest areas, with G-Dragon's distinctive design sensibility.
The G-Dragon walnut pastries are filled with sweet paste made from Korean chestnuts, offering not only rich flavor but also a distinctive look. On top of each pastry sits a chocolate decoration shaped like the daisy flower symbol of G-Dragon's brand PEACEMINUSONE.
The lineup includes the Love & Peace Gift Pack (10 Daisy Bomb walnut pastries for 30,000 won) and the Love & Peace Keyring Set (10 Daisy Bomb walnut pastries plus a clicker keyring for 47,000 won). Both are sold in limited quantities each day.
