[Financial News] Harold Rogers, CEO of Coupang, is reported to have sent an email to employees sharing his impressions of taking part in a dawn delivery run.
According to Newsis News Agency on the 26th, the previous day Harold Rogers sent an internal email to Coupang employees saying, "On the evening of Thursday the 19th, I personally visited a Rocket Delivery site." On the 19th, Rogers joined DPK lawmaker Yeom Taeyeong for a dawn delivery experience in the Jungwon District area of Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Rogers said, "Starting at 8:30 p.m. at the CLS Delivery Camp in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and staying with our Coupang friends through to the final delivery at 6:30 a.m. the next day and the return trip, it was a valuable experience meeting customers on the very front lines." He recalled the work process, adding, "From sorting and loading to final delivery, every step of the operation was meticulously designed and executed in true Coupang fashion."
He went on to say, "From deciding which items to load first to determining the delivery sequence, and the system that tracks and manages the entire process without gaps, it was moving to see firsthand Coupang's core competitiveness, which has been steadily innovated based on on-site experience and feedback."
Rogers also remarked, "I was deeply impressed by all of Coupang's delivery and on-site workers I met during the experience," stressing, "Rocket Delivery, which is now loved by people across the country, could not exist without them."
He did not leave out comments on Coupang's growth and future direction. "It has been less than 20 years since Coupang came into the world, but through strategic investment and meticulous execution, we have grown into a Big Tech company leading AI Distribution Innovation," he said. "The scale and diversity of our business and the markets we operate in have all changed, but our identity has not."
Finally, Rogers emphasized, "We will continue to improve the customer experience, keep growing, and shape the future of commerce," and encouraged employees by adding, "Let us always move forward and never hesitate to take on new challenges."
