HD Hyundai Chairman Chung Ki-sun has visited Vietnam as part of his on-site management drive.
HD Hyundai announced on the 26th that Chung visited HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding and HD Hyundai Eco Vina on the 24th and 25th. During the two-day trip, he inspected plant facilities and safety systems and encouraged employees. This was his fifth field visit since he took office as chairman in October last year.
On the 24th, he visited HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding in Khanh Hoa Province in south-central Vietnam. There, he toured the yard and examined the construction process of a petrochemical product carrier currently under construction. He asked on-site personnel about schedule adherence, difficulties in the work process, and other issues, and stressed the importance of safety in the workplace.
On the 25th, he traveled to HD Hyundai Eco Vina, located about 120 kilometers south of Da Nang in central Vietnam. HD Hyundai Eco Vina is being developed as a strategic base for HD Hyundai, serving as an eco-friendly independent tank production hub and a center for its port crane business in Asia. This was his first visit since the acquisition was completed in December last year.
Chung said, "I believe the foundation of running a company lies on the ground, and the answer to every problem is also on the ground." He added, "I will never forget my gratitude to the field, and whenever there are challenges, I will come here frequently to work with you to find solutions."
