President Lee to chair Central Integrated Defense Council; to meet WSJ editor-in-chief

President Lee Jae-myung of South Korea will chair the 59th meeting of the Central Integrated Defense Council on the afternoon of the 23rd at Cheong Wa Dae, the Blue House, according to Financial News.
The Central Integrated Defense Council is an annual gathering where key officials responsible for various elements of national defense come together to assess the country’s integrated defense posture and discuss ways to improve it.
After the meeting, President Lee is also scheduled to meet Emma Tucker, editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Tucker became the first woman to serve as editor-in-chief of the WSJ in 2022, 133 years after the paper was founded.
