[Financial News] A United States Forces Korea (USFK) soldier assaulted a Korean man at a club in the Hongdae area of Seoul, leaving him injured.
On the 22nd, the Seoul Mapo Police Station announced that it had arrested a USFK soldier in his 20s, identified as A, the previous day on charges of causing bodily injury.
A is accused of assaulting a Korean man around 3 a.m. on the 21st at a club near Hongdae in Mapo District, Seoul, striking his face and other areas and injuring him.
According to reports, the victim argued with A and his companions after their shoulders bumped, and A then assaulted him, resulting in a fractured nasal bone.
Police handed A over to the U.S. military police in accordance with the U.S.–Republic of Korea Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA).
