[Comprehensive] Fire at auto parts factory in Munpyeong-dong, Daejeon leaves 34 injured

[The Financial News] A fire broke out at an automotive safety parts factory in Munpyeong-dong, Daedeok District, Daejeon Metropolitan City, at around 1:17 p.m. on the 20th.
After receiving the report, fire authorities dispatched 44 pieces of equipment and 111 personnel to fight the blaze. As the flames spread, they issued a Level 2 response at around 1:31 p.m.
So far, 34 people have been reported injured in the fire, including 16 with serious injuries and 18 with minor injuries, and they have been transported to nearby hospitals. Fire authorities have restricted traffic in the area and are continuing additional searches for any other victims.
Once the fire is fully extinguished, fire authorities plan to investigate the interior of the building for any missing persons and determine the extent of the damage and the exact cause of the blaze.
The factory consists of three three-story buildings and is known to employ about 200 workers in total.
