[Financial News] Global short-form video platform TikTok announced on the 20th that it will launch a global in-app campaign to celebrate the comeback of BTS (Bangtan Boys) with their fifth full-length album "Arirang."
Running through the 3rd of next month, the campaign is designed so that users around the world can celebrate the group’s activities on TikTok with a variety of content ahead of the release of BTS’s new album.
Users can join the campaign through a dedicated page within the TikTok app, which brings together a wide range of content in one place.
By completing missions, users can earn limited Arirang profile frames or collect digital sticker sets. They can then use the stickers to decorate within the TikTok app.
An exclusive editing effect tailored to the title track "SWIM" will also be available, encouraging users to create more creative content. In addition, users can check the official track list and preview feature for the new album, as well as information on "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG," which is set to be released on Netflix, along with various other activities and content related to the album.
BTS is one of the most influential artists on TikTok, sharing music and culture with people around the world on the platform. The group currently has more than 74.4 million followers, and posts containing the #BTS hashtag have surpassed 104 million in total, with cumulative likes exceeding 1.7 billion.
Yoo Kyung-chul, Head of Artist & Label Partnerships for TikTok Asia, said, "We hope that through this experience, people around the world will be able to celebrate the comeback and feel even more connected to BTS’s music through a variety of content."
