Financial News reported on the 20th that NAVER Corporation will enhance user convenience and offer a variety of content experiences through its map and membership services for the "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG" concert, which will take place on the 21st in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
First, NAVER Map will provide an indoor map of the concert venue. Users will be able to check the locations of key facilities such as gates, restrooms, information desks, and medical support centers. On the day of the concert, the service will also offer real-time information on road closures, as well as detours and non-stop sections for public transportation.
Multilingual support will be available for international users, and bubble keywords within the map will allow them to view 3D street views around the Gwanghwamun area.
An XR billboard will also appear in the street view on the map. Starting on the night of the 20th, users who tap the "BTS THE CITY" button below the search bar on the map home screen will be taken to a street view of the area around Gwanghwamun Square. They will be able to watch the same teaser video that will be played on-site in Gwanghwamun before the concert.
In the search service, entering keywords related to BTS (Bangtan Boys) will trigger interactive Easter egg-style content. Within the NAVER Map app, the company also plans to introduce a "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL" saved list feature that links to major landmarks across Seoul.
Membership-based content integration has also been strengthened. Subscribers to Naver Plus Membership will be able to watch the concert live worldwide via Netflix, while on Spotify they can log in with their NAVER ID and easily listen to the new release "Arirang."
In addition, the "Spotify x BTS SWIMSIDE Cruise" event that Spotify is hosting on the Hangang River will be offered as VR content on NAVER Map, allowing users who cannot attend in person to experience it virtually.
