According to Financial News, Jennie of Blackpink will take the stage as a headliner at the major U.S. music festival "Lollapalooza Chicago 2026."
The lineup announced by Lollapalooza on the 17th (local time) shows that Jennie has been named one of the top-billed acts for the festival, which will be held from July 30 to August 2 at Grant Park in Chicago. She will share headlining duties with Charli XCX, Lorde, Olivia Dean, John Summit, The Smashing Pumpkins, and others.
In April last year, Jennie performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the United States, earning an enthusiastic response. Now, by stepping up as a headliner for Lollapalooza Chicago, she is set to reaffirm her global presence.
This year’s Lollapalooza Chicago will feature four K-pop acts: Jennie, Aespa, (G)I-DLE, and Cortis. Among them, Cortis is the only K-pop boy group on the bill and, despite having debuted less than a year ago, is scheduled to present a full solo set.
Since their debut in August last year, Cortis has been on a steep growth trajectory. Their debut album "Color Outside the Lines" entered the U.S. Billboard 200 main albums chart at No. 15, and its cumulative sales have surpassed 2 million copies according to Circle Chart, making it the second K-pop debut album ever to achieve double-million-seller status.
Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 will run for four days and is expected to be a large-scale music festival featuring more than 170 artist teams and over 400,000 attendees.
