[Financial News] Woowa Brothers, which operates Baedal Minjok, announced on the 18th that it had provided benefits worth more than 25.4 billion won to customers using its Baemin Festa promotion from the 2nd to the 15th.
The company explained that this result represents a 41% increase compared with last year’s Baemin Food Festa.
The number of participating restaurants has also reached the highest level ever for a Baemin discount event. More than 31,000 restaurants are currently taking part, offering instant discounts and actively working to attract customers.
The number of customers using the Baemin app has risen as well. During the same period, the number of app users running Baemin Festa increased by about 17% compared with last year’s Baemin Food Festa. Orders placed through the event grew by more than 40%.
As a result, orders for partner restaurants also showed an upward trend. During the first week of Baemin Festa, the average number of orders per participating restaurant rose by about 26% compared with the fourth week of February, just before the event.
Since the 2nd, Baemin has been running Baemin Festa, offering daily "0-won deals" and "100-won deals" as well as discount coupons worth up to 10,000 won. Through March 29, it will provide discount coupons for major franchise brands each week, and every day up to 2,000 customers on a first-come, first-served basis can receive coupons to buy popular menu items for 100 won.
Generous discounts are available not only for food delivery but also for the quick-commerce "Groceries & Shopping" service. At B Mart, weekly promotions feature items such as branded dumplings and ramen packages, while partner retailers like CU Convenience Store (CU) and GS25 are continuing "0-won deal" events that offer 10,000 units a day of popular cup noodles for free.
