As the new Head of Korea Office, Hur will oversee Workday’s business strategy in Korea, one of the world’s most active markets for artificial intelligence (AI) adoption. He will focus on accelerating market growth and strengthening the company’s partner ecosystem.
Hur joins Workday with more than 25 years of experience at global technology companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google LLC, and Salesforce. Drawing on this extensive background, he said, "Korea is a nation of 'builders' that creates new things and leads innovation. Korean enterprise customers do not simply aim to run systems; they need a solid foundation that allows them to realize new ideas and drive innovation." He added, "Through an open and intelligent platform, Workday will help Korean companies usher in a new workday in the era of AI."
He continued, "Workday is rapidly evolving beyond a simple business applications company into an 'enterprise AI platform.' Going forward, we will work closely with our enterprise customers in Korea to demonstrate the tangible impact of AI solutions, and based on those results, do our utmost to help them achieve continuous, innovation-driven growth."
Simon Tate, President of Asia Pacific at Workday, said, "Hur is the ideal leader to partner with us as we adopt an AI-first strategy and accelerate business growth."
