[The Financial News] Express service on Seoul Subway Line 9, which had been temporarily suspended due to a signal failure, has resumed.
Seoul Metro Line 9 announced at 2:39 p.m. on the 17th, "The signal failure has been resolved, and trains on all sections of Line 9 (both all-stop and express) are now operating normally."
Earlier at 10:22 a.m. the same day, a failure occurred in the signal equipment at the Line 9 Integrated Control Center. As a result, express trains were switched to all-stop service on the entire section between Gaehwa Station and VHS Medical Center station.
Line 9 immediately dispatched its technical team and temporarily restored the signal equipment at 11:17 a.m.
However, the operator decided to introduce express trains gradually, noting that simultaneously switching all-stop trains back to express service during operation could pose safety risks.
