[The Financial News] On the 17th, the fifth day since the oil price cap system was introduced, the nationwide average fuel price at gas stations continued to decline.
According to the Opinet oil price information system, as of 9 a.m. that day the average gasoline price at gas stations nationwide was 1,829.6 won per liter, down 3.1 won from the previous day.
Diesel was 1,827.7 won per liter at the same time, a decrease of 4.1 won.
Gas stations in Seoul also saw prices continue to fall. The average gasoline price in Seoul that day was 1,854.7 won per liter, 4.4 won lower than the day before. The average diesel price in Seoul was tallied at 1,844.3 won per liter, down 3.4 won.
Domestic gas station fuel prices have been on a downward trend since hitting a peak on the 10th, following the outbreak of war between the United States of America (US) and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
