President Lee: "If you find gas stations violating the maximum oil price system, report them directly to me"

[The Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung of South Korea stated on the 13th, "If you discover any gas stations or other businesses violating the maximum oil price system, please report them to me without delay."
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) the same day, President Lee wrote, "Starting today, we are fully implementing the maximum oil price system. To stabilize domestic fuel prices, which have been fluctuating due to global instability, we have decided to set a clear ceiling on supply prices."
The government began enforcing the maximum oil price system on this day.
President Lee stressed, "We need the public's monitoring and participation to ensure that some businesses do not exploit the confusion to charge excessive prices or gain unfair profits."
In a subsequent post, President Lee reiterated his message, asking, "Are fuel prices becoming more stable? If you encounter price gouging, please report it."
