[Financial News] While Blackpink member Jennie’s agency has announced a hard-line response to invasions of privacy and the spread of false rumors, she has drawn attention by abruptly sharing a selfie where she is flipping the middle finger.
On the 10th, Jennie posted an update on her SNS showing herself attending a fashion show for luxury brand Chanel, for which she serves as an ambassador.
In the photos, Jennie wears a daring look: a black bra top and short bottoms layered with a beaded mesh jacket and skirt. She added a red mini bag as a fashion accent.
In other shots, Jennie holds a glass or poses in various ways, such as giving a back hug to a foreign man wearing a Chanel coat and closing her eyes slightly.
In one particular mirror selfie, she raises her middle finger.
Previously, videos showing Jennie being followed and having her privacy disturbed by some paparazzi in Paris, France had spread across SNS and online communities.
In that footage, Jennie said, "I am spending my personal time" and "Please respect my privacy," clearly expressing her discomfort.
Then on the 9th, Jennie’s agency OA Entertainment announced that it would take legal action over invasions of the artist’s privacy and the dissemination of false information.
The agency stated, "There are growing cases where false posts based on completely untrue information are being spread, damaging the artist’s reputation, as well as acts that invade the artist’s privacy, such as disrupting their personal time or following their movements," adding, "Depending on the seriousness of each case, we plan to respond firmly, including civil and criminal legal measures."
