The Financial News reported that, as the international situation has been thrown into turmoil by the military clash between the US and the Islamic Republic of Iran, a meme (an online imitation or derivative content format) proposing that Donald John Trump’s youngest son Barron Trump marry Kim Ju Ae, daughter of President of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea Kim Jong Un, "for world peace" has been spreading via social networking service (SNS) platforms.
On the 11th, SNS users shared a digitally altered image depicting Barron and Kim Ju Ae as if they were dating. It is one of a series of memes that began gaining popularity earlier this month.
A recently circulated image shows Kim Ju Ae and Barron holding a child in their arms. The child has eyes resembling Kim Ju Ae’s and hair the color of Barron’s, and is clutching a toy missile.

On the 5th, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other platforms also saw the circulation of another doctored image portraying Barron and Kim Ju Ae as a couple. In front of them are photos of President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong-un, both appearing displeased.

Overseas internet users who have seen these memes suggest that, amid the current instability in global affairs, they play on the cheeky idea that if Barron and Kim Ju Ae were to marry and the US and North Korea became in-laws, international conflicts would naturally fade away.
Comments have included reactions such as, "This is the simplest solution for world peace" and "It might be the perfect way to solve the nuclear issue in one go." However, some users have also criticized the trend, saying that "using underage children as material for political satire is not appropriate."
Previously, when President Donald Trump mentioned his desire to annex Greenland, satirical posts also spread on SNS suggesting that Barron could marry Princess Isabella of Denmark, Countess of Monpezat, and receive Greenland as a dowry.
Born in 2006, Barron is the youngest son of President Donald Trump and Melania Trump and is currently enrolled at New York University (NYU).
Kim Ju Ae is the eldest daughter of Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol-ju. In recent years, she has frequently appeared alongside Kim Jong Un at various events, drawing international attention as a possible successor.
