As the war with the Islamic Republic of Iran rages on, Donald Trump, president of the United States of America, was spotted enjoying his usual weekend round of golf, sparking controversy.
On the 9th (local time), several U.S. outlets including The Daily Beast reported that President Trump had been seen on Sunday morning at Trump National Doral Miami in the State of Florida city of Miami.
Videos showing President Trump in golf attire greeting people at the course circulated online, revealing that he had gone out for a round of golf in the middle of the war.
That day, President Trump wore a white baseball cap embroidered in gold with "USA." He had also worn the same cap the previous day at Dover Air Force Base in the State of Delaware, during the dignified transfer ceremony for U.S. troops killed in the military operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran, drawing criticism that it was inappropriate for the solemn occasion.
Amid fears that the war could drag on, oil prices that afternoon climbed above 100 dollars per barrel, and the number of U.S. troops killed in the conflict rose to seven. Public reaction in the United States of America to the commander in chief’s apparent nonchalance has not been particularly favorable.
Comments on the article included remarks such as, "Wartime leadership is not just about making decisions; it means being on the ground where the work is being done," "Draft Barron Trump," and "Americans’ patience has surely gone beyond its limits." Criticism of President Trump continued on X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms as well.
