On the 9th, the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office announced that, following a review by the Personal Information Disclosure Review Committee, it would disclose the name, age, and mugshot of the suspect, 20-year-old Kim So-young, on the "Notices" section of the Seoul Northern District Public Prosecutors' Office website for 30 days.
Kim's personal information will remain accessible on the Seoul Northern District Public Prosecutors' Office website until April 8.
Kim was transferred to prosecutors in custody on February 19 on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and violating the Narcotics Control Act. She is accused of giving drinks containing benzodiazepine-based drugs to three men in their 20s between mid-December last year and February 9 this year, causing them to lose consciousness or die.
After two additional men were identified as suspected victims, police expanded the scope of their investigation and are continuing their probe.
On March 4, the Seoul Gangbuk Police Station reported that the result of the Psychopathy Checklist–Revised (PCL-R) assessment for Kim concluded that she is classified as a psychopath. In South Korea, a score above 25 is generally considered indicative of psychopathy, and Kim is understood to have scored 25.
