Financial News reported on the 6th that LG Uplus showcased people-centered artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including its ixi-O AI Assistant, at Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026) and explored opportunities to expand its global business.
According to LG Uplus, the exhibition booth attracted 70,000 visitors, an increase of about 20% compared with last year. Many visitors gathered around the display of "Ixio Pro," the future version of the AI call app ixi-O AI Assistant.
This year, the company also held meetings with 20 global telecom operators and big tech firms to discuss expanding the global business of ixi-O AI Assistant. A representative from one global telecom operator who visited the booth said, "Once you consider how it could be tailored to each country's environment, there seemed to be many items with real commercialization potential." LG Uplus also expanded collaboration with big tech and AI infrastructure companies to lay the groundwork for its global expansion.
In addition, representatives from Samsung Electronics, Nokia, Ericsson and other global companies visited the booth to review ixi-O AI Assistant, autonomous network solutions and security strategies.
Building on the cooperation plans discussed at this year's MWC 2026, LG Uplus intends to gradually present global business achievements centered on ixi-O AI Assistant at next year's MWC 2026. The company aims to create overseas use cases based on its expanded partnerships with telecom operators and big tech companies this year.
Joon-young Jang, Head of Marketing Group at LG Uplus, stated, "Through people-centered AI, we will help create a future where people are connected to one another in more meaningful ways."
