Samsung Galaxy S26 series tops 1.35 million pre-orders in Korea, highest ever for Galaxy S line

Samsung Electronics announced on the 6th that pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series in the domestic market reached 1.35 million units.
This is the highest pre-order volume ever recorded for the Galaxy S lineup. The previous record was set by the Galaxy S25 series, which sold 1.3 million units during an 11-day pre-order period last year.
Samsung Electronics ran pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series for seven days, from the 27th of last month to the 5th. During this period, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra accounted for about 70% of sales, underscoring strong demand for the Ultra model. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra also became the best-selling Ultra model to date.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with the first-ever Privacy Display on a mobile phone, performance based on the latest application processor (AP), and a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera, among other features.
By color, White and Black were the most popular for both the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S26. For the Galaxy S26+, Black and Cobalt Violet drew the most interest. On Samsung.com and at Samsung Gangnam, the exclusive colors Pink Gold and Silver Shadow were the top choices, in that order.
More than 30% of customers who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S26 series on Samsung.com also signed up for the "New Galaxy AI Subscription Club." This appears to reflect the combined appeal of the "Double Storage" offer—which upgrades buyers from the 256GB model to 512GB during the pre-order period—and a subscription benefit that guarantees 50% of the list price of the 512GB model when the device is returned after one year. Starting this year, the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club has added compensation for cyber financial crimes and fraud related to online marketplaces and shopping sites to the Samsung Care+ coverage. It has also introduced a three-year plan that adds loss protection to the existing smartphone damage coverage.
Samsung Electronics is also offering various purchase benefits for customers who buy in March. Through the Samsung.com app, buyers can receive a 10% discount coupon for the Galaxy Buds 4 series and five 30% discount coupons for cases and accessories. Customers who purchase the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will receive an additional 30% discount coupon for a 60W charger.
Customers who pre-ordered can begin receiving and activating their devices today. Starting on the 11th, the series will roll out sequentially in more than 120 countries worldwide, beginning with the Republic of Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
