According to Financial News, Jeon, a YouTuber and former Korean history instructor, has drawn attention by sharing an anecdote of devotion involving former President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea to explain why he took the bar exam nine times.
On the YouTube channel "Jeon Hangil News" on the 4th, Jeon spoke with Choi, a YouTuber and former National Intelligence Service (NIS) operative, under the theme of "the reason Yoon took the bar exam nine times."
Choi said, "The exam was the following week when a married friend told him that his wife had left home and there was no one to look after the child, so Yoon bought a bag of candy and went over to take care of the children for three nights and four days," adding, "Things like this happened several times."
Choi also recounted that Yoon "would even travel to the countryside to help if a classmate getting married said there was no one to carry the wedding chest." Choi further explained that Yoon "had a tendency to dig into major social problems and keep at them until they were resolved."
During the broadcast, Jeon also revealed that he had recently exchanged letters with Yoon. He said he had delivered a letter, seven pages of A4 paper, through Yoon's lawyer, setting out his views on the current situation and his state of mind.
According to Jeon, Yoon conveyed through his lawyer that he was pleased to receive the letter and is said to have mentioned his televised debate on alleged election fraud with Reform Party (South Korea) leader Lee Jun-seok. Yoon went on to say that it was "a successful and remarkable debate that awakened the people," and, Jeon claimed, he sent a message expressing gratitude for Jeon's courage and dedication.
