Pearl Abyss' Crimson Desert Chosen as 'Most Anticipated Game' by Chinese Game Media

Financial News reported on the 3rd that Pearl Abyss announced its open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, scheduled for release on the 20th, has been selected in two "Most Anticipated Game" categories at the 17173 Game Awards organized by leading Chinese game media 17173.
The 17173 Game Awards is an annual ceremony hosted by 17173 that recognizes notable games released throughout the year. Winners are chosen separately through user voting and evaluations by the outlet’s editors.
Crimson Desert was named in two categories: "Most Anticipated Game Chosen by 17173 Users" and "Global Most Anticipated Game Selected by 17173 Editors."
In the user-voted Most Anticipated Game category, Crimson Desert and Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) were the only overseas titles selected, while the remaining winners were all Chinese games. The "Global Most Anticipated Game Selected by 17173 Editors" category also included major global titles such as GTA6, Marathon, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
Crimson Desert expanded its reach among Chinese gamers last year by participating in Bilibili World and the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy). During the events, long queues formed at the Crimson Desert booth, reflecting the strong interest from local players.
