[The Financial News] Wedding photos of actor Byun Yo-han (40) and Girls' Generation member Tiffany Young (37), who recently registered their marriage and became a legally married couple, went viral online. However, it has since been confirmed that the images were AI-generated composites.
On the 1st, Byun Yo-han’s agency Team Hope stated, "The wedding photos currently circulating online were never taken."
Recently, posts titled "Byun Yo-han and Tiffany’s wedding photos" have been widely shared across online communities and social media platforms.
The posts featured a photo of Byun Yo-han in a pink suit and Tiffany Young in a matching pink wedding dress, holding a bouquet and smiling brightly. On either side of the couple, Girls' Generation members appear in dresses, looking at the bride and groom as if congratulating them.
Many online users congratulated Byun Yo-han and Tiffany Young on their marriage after seeing the photo, while some commenters questioned whether the image had been digitally altered.
After it was revealed that the picture was an AI-generated composite, some users reacted by saying the technology behind such realistic AI images is alarming.
Meanwhile, Byun Yo-han and Tiffany Young drew attention last December when news broke that they were in a relationship with marriage in mind.
The two reportedly became close while co-starring in the Disney+ original series "Uncle Samsik" and eventually developed a romantic relationship.
They then registered their marriage on the 27th of last month, becoming a legally married couple just two months after going public with their relationship.
At the time, Team Hope announced, "Byun Yo-han and Tiffany Young have completed their marriage registration based on deep trust and love for each other," adding, "As they embark on a new chapter in life, the couple will remember all the support and love they have received and strive to repay it by showing a more mature side of themselves."
Their wedding ceremony schedule has not yet been finalized, and the couple is reportedly considering holding a small, simple ceremony.
