[Financial News] KT Corporation (KT) announced on the 1st that it will participate in MWC Barcelona 2026 and unveil technologies integrated with K-culture at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
KT will set up a "Gwanghwamun Square"-themed booth in Hall 4, the main exhibition hall of MWC Barcelona 2026. Through six themed spaces that blend K-culture with Artificial Intelligence (AI), the company will showcase Korea's technological capabilities and culture.
■ AI Transformation (AX) Zone: Real-world applications to expand global collaboration opportunities
The AX Zone is inspired by Gwanghwamun Station on the subway and KT's Gwanghwamun West Building. In the AX Platform Zone, KT will introduce "Agentic Fabric," an operating system optimized for implementing AX in enterprise environments.
Agentic Fabric is a platform designed to organically interconnect diverse AI technologies and agents like a woven fabric so they can support end-to-end corporate operations. It is built on a five-layer architecture. KT has already applied key components of Agentic Fabric—such as AI agent orchestration and the K RAI Assessment Framework—to its own internal workflows to validate performance. Visitors will be able to see how each element of Agentic Fabric actually works in real enterprise settings.
KT will also present its Physical AI strategy, which connects robots, equipment, and IT systems into a single intelligent ecosystem, along with its robot platform "K RaaS (KT Robot as a Service)." The exhibition will go beyond simply controlling individual robots and demonstrate how an end-to-end Physical AI system, organized around service flows, can operate seamlessly on industrial sites.
In the Vertical AI Zone, visitors can explore AX transformation use cases across sectors such as the public sector, finance, and manufacturing. KT will demonstrate the "AI Trial Support Platform" currently used by the Supreme Court of Korea, an "asset management agent" for financial institutions, and an "AI Order Assistant" for automotive parts manufacturers, presenting practical, field-oriented deployment models.
In addition, KT will showcase "Agent Builder," which provides essential industry-specific agents as standard templates that can be deployed immediately on-site; the next-generation contact center solution "Agentic AI Contact Center (AICC)," which goes beyond consultation support to automate actual back-office tasks; and "Vision Track," an AI-based video analytics solution for locating missing persons.
KT will also present its "Data-to-AI Framework" for accelerating AI Transformation and share case studies such as a "Unstructured Data Assetization Platform" for banks and an "R&D Data Highway" for a cosmetics manufacturer. Through these examples, the company aims to highlight its capabilities as an AX partner tailored to each enterprise's specific needs.
■ Network Zone: Presenting an AI-powered network vision for the 6G era
In the Network Zone, KT will unveil its AI-powered network vision and technologies for the upcoming 6G era. Building on ubiquitous computing, ultra-reliable infrastructure, and Quantum-safe cryptography, KT will outline the foundation of its 6G network. The zone will feature "semantic communication," where AI interprets the meaning of data to improve transmission efficiency, and a high-efficiency computing infrastructure that enables an intelligent communication environment that goes beyond simple connectivity.
■ K-Square Zone: Strengthening collaboration with group affiliates and co-growth with SMEs and startups
The K-Square Zone will highlight KT and its group affiliates' combined capabilities. BC Card will offer an experience where visitors can purchase K-culture merchandise using its in-house AI solution "MoAI" and a USD Coin (USDC) payment service based on the Paybook Wallet. KT Millie's Library will introduce "AI Reading Farming," a conversational reading service, and "Milli Pairing," which links print books, e-books, and audiobooks to maintain a continuous reading flow.
To further strengthen co-growth, KT will also operate a booth for its partner SMEs and startups. Participants will include Studio Freewillusion, which took part in producing "Code:G The Beginning of Attention," Korea's first feature-length omnibus film created with generative AI, and AI FOR PET, KT's partner behind the AI-based pet homecare service "TTcare." In addition, KT plans to set up a co-growth pavilion in the MWC 4YFN Hall, where 10 partner SMEs and startups will join to explore global expansion opportunities.
■ Archive Zone, Sports Zone, and F&B Zone: Offering differentiated experiential spaces
KT will also operate an Archive Zone that looks back on the history of telecommunications in Korea; a Sports Zone where "AI Lee Kang-in" delivers cheering messages in seven languages; and an F&B Zone where visitors can experience smart ordering and payment services powered by Hi-Order. In the Sports Zone, KT will host a soccer shooting event to celebrate the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering prizes based on the number of successful shots.
Yoon Tae-sik, Head of Brand Strategy, KT and executive director, stated, "Through a differentiated exhibition that combines AI technologies with K-culture, we will showcase KT's innovation capabilities to visitors from around the world," adding, "We will continue to expand unique brand experiences that connect technology and culture."
