Barcelona, Spain – Reporter Jang Min-kwonLG Uplus announced on the 1st that from the 2nd, over a four-day period, it will present its future vision for “human-centered artificial intelligence (AI)” at Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026), the world’s largest telecom trade show taking place in Barcelona, Spain.
Upgraded AI agent ‘Ixio Pro’The core of this year’s showcase is voice-based AI services. Among a wide range of AI offerings, LG Uplus is focusing on “voice,” an area where telecom operators have a particular strength, and is advancing its AI services around this capability.
The flagship service is “Ixio Pro,” an evolved model of the ixi-O AI Assistant. Ixio Pro goes beyond a passive secretary role and acts as a proactive agent that suggests what customers may need in advance. Through video demonstrations, LG Uplus plans to show how different personas—such as women in their 20s, working mothers, and corporate executives—use Ixio Pro to remove hassles from their daily lives. Ixio Pro will also expand into the realm of “physical AI” by integrating with robots, presenting a future in which it understands conversational context without explicit commands and moves autonomously in real-world spaces.
The AI Contact Center (AI Contact Center (AICC)), which represents a voice-driven innovation in customer touchpoints, has also advanced. The “Agentic AICC,” developed in collaboration with OpenAI, can handle complex inquiries through natural conversation, while the “Self-Evolving AICC” is a counseling AI that departs from fixed scripts, learning on its own by analyzing context and emotions in real time during calls.
AI-powered securityLG Uplus is also prioritizing security, which it sees as fundamental to delivering stable services as AI rapidly evolves. At this year’s MWC, the company will spotlight its security brand “ixi-Guardian 2.0” and present both current and future applications of technologies such as Homomorphic Encryption, U+ SASE (Security Access Service Edge), and AlphaKey.
Homomorphic Encryption, developed in collaboration with CryptoLab Inc., is a technology that enables computation on encrypted data. Its strength lies in keeping data encrypted throughout storage, transmission, and use. LG Uplus plans to apply this technology to services such as the ixi-O AI Assistant and AICC, strengthening security so that even if hackers steal data, they cannot access the encrypted personal information.
The network, which is the core of any telecom operator’s business, is also being enhanced with AI. LG Uplus will introduce an Autonomous NW Solution that uses AI agents and Digital Twin technology so that AI can autonomously analyze, decide, and take action on network fault response, quality optimization, and equipment management without human intervention.
Sovereign AI full-stack solution unveiledLG Uplus will also unveil its Sovereign AI Full-Stack Solution, developed to accelerate the expansion of the industrial ecosystem through global technology collaboration. The solution was created together with LG AI Research and FuriosaAI. Its key advantage is that companies can deploy AI into real-world operations immediately by simply connecting power and network, without going through a complex infrastructure build-out.
The company will further exhibit hyper-personalized media art that reflects how AI can contribute to industry and society. Produced in collaboration with world-renowned media art studio Universal Everything, the work analyzes visitors’ voices and viewing data in real time and projects natural landscapes that match those inputs onto a large media wall.
Joon-young Jang, Head of Marketing Group at LG Uplus, stated, “This year’s MWC 26 will be an opportunity to demonstrate to the world how the ‘human-centered AI’ pursued by LG Uplus can make customers’ daily lives safer and more convenient,” adding, “By combining differentiated voice-based experiences, robust security, and autonomous network operation technologies, we will leap forward as an AI company that delivers value beyond telecommunications.”
